The finish is a matte diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating over 416R stainless. DLC sits harder than nitride, runs slick after a short break-in, and stays looking sharp under daily carry wear. The muzzle is finished with a crown cut for clean rifling exit and a more finished look out the front of the slide.
Tolerances are tight at first — lube the inside top of the slide and run a magazine or two slowly to seat the lockup. See our slide break-in guide for the full procedure. If you're installing into an aftermarket slide, confirm your slide is cut for a standard non-threaded G19 barrel before ordering.
