The Dead Air KeyMo muzzle brake is built for .338 caliber barrels threaded M18x1.5. It redirects propellant gas to counter recoil and muzzle rise, which matters most on magnum-recoil rifles where getting back on target for a follow-up shot or a spotting call is the whole point.
M18x1.5 is a metric thread pitch found on many .338 Lapua and other large-bore precision barrels. It is not interchangeable with 5/8x24 or other common rifle threads.
Features:
Before you install: confirm your barrel is .338 caliber and threaded M18x1.5. Do not mount a .338 brake on a larger-bore barrel. Time the brake with a crush washer or shims and check bore alignment before firing. If you plan to run a suppressor on it, confirm your suppressor's mount is KeyMo-compatible.
Muzzle brakes are loud, and much of the blast is directed to the sides. Wear hearing protection.
