The Armaspec SMB-C Sound Mitigation Buffer Gen 3 is a drop-in, captured buffer-and-spring assembly that replaces your existing AR-15 carbine buffer system. The captured design constrains the recoil spring inside the buffer body so the spring no longer rubs against the buffer-tube wall — the result is a markedly quieter, smoother cycle and noticeably less of the 'spring twang' that AR shooters hear behind the ear.
