The Ameriglo XL optic-compatible sight set gives Glock pistols a tall LumiGreen tritium front and outline rear, sized to co-witness with a slide-mounted red dot. The .315" front and .394" rear clear the lower edge of the optic window for a standard lower-third co-witness on optic-cut Glock slides.
Factory-height sights sit below the window of most pistol red dots, so you lose your irons if the optic fails or the battery dies. Tall sights put the iron sights inside the lower part of the window. You can still aim if the dot goes down, and you have a reference for finding the dot on the draw. The same height also clears most suppressors.
Before you install: Optic and mount height vary, so confirm the co-witness height for your optic. The rear sight installs in the dovetail with a sight pusher. If you don't have one, a gunsmith can install the set.
