After you install it, run a full function check with the pistol unloaded before live fire: confirm the trigger safety blocks rearward travel when it is not depressed, the trigger resets, and the striker does not release when the slide is cycled. If you are not comfortable working on the fire control group, have a qualified gunsmith install it.
