Why upgrade

The factory Glock recoil rod is polymer with a captured spring. Under high round counts, with hot loads, or with aftermarket compensators, the polymer rod can flex, crack, or shed material into the slide channel. The stainless replacement eliminates all three failure modes for the cost of a couple boxes of ammo.
