Faxon Firearms 5.56 NATO M16-profile bolt carrier group in salt-bath nitride — a full mil-spec-grade BCG ready to drop into any standard AR-15 upper. The full-mass M16 carrier profile auto-feeds the auto-sear shelf area for proper carrier travel and timing, and the superfinished interior surfaces reduce friction at the gas key, bolt tail, and carrier body.
The bolt is forged from 9310 tool steel, fully heat-treated and shot-peened to mil-spec, magnetic-particle inspected, then salt-bath nitrided alongside the carrier for inside-and-out corrosion resistance and easy carbon cleanup. The S7 tool-steel extractor and chamfered lug-backs improve feed reliability under sustained fire.
Inspect rings and gas key staking before first use, lubricate the bolt body and cam pin generously, then run a 20-30 round break-in before tuning for suppressed or short-barrel use.
