Hand tool for removing standard two-piece drop-in AR-15 handguards. The wrench levers the delta ring back against its detent spring, holding it clear so a single armorer can pull the top and bottom handguard halves without a second set of hands or a shop vise.
Use for
- Standard mil-spec two-piece drop-in AR-15 handguards
- Front sight base (FSB) barrels with a delta ring assembly
- Carbine, mid-length, and rifle-length drop-in setups
Does NOT work with
- Free-float M-Lok or KeyMod handguards (no delta ring)
- Uppers built with a low-profile gas block instead of an FSB
Features
- Compact steel body sized to fit inside the delta ring cutout
- Eases handguard swaps for cleaning, rail changes, or barrel work
- Solo operation — no assistant required
- Fits any standard AR-15 delta ring diameter
Install notes
Seat the wrench between the delta ring and receiver, pry the ring rearward, and lift the top handguard clear. Repeat on the bottom half. Keep the spring and detent cover captured — losing either means an armorer visit.
