The Apex Tactical J-Frame Duty Spring Kit is a drop-in spring kit for Smith & Wesson J-frame centerfire revolvers, including Models 31, 32, 34, 36 and 37. It lightens the double-action trigger pull by approximately 3 pounds while keeping ignition reliable, which is why it is tuned for duty and concealed carry rather than competition.

The kit replaces the factory rebound spring and main spring and adds an Apex XP firing pin. The three parts are designed to work together, so install them as a set.

After installing, function-check the revolver and fire a few cylinders of your carry ammunition to confirm every primer ignites before you carry it. If you are not comfortable working inside a revolver lockwork, have a gunsmith install the kit.
