A 16" AR-15 barrel with a .223 Wylde chamber, M4 contour, and carbine-length gas system. The Wylde chamber is the sweet-spot compromise between a tight .223 Remington SAAMI chamber and a looser 5.56 NATO chamber — it shoots both cartridges safely and typically groups tighter than a straight 5.56 chamber with match ammunition.
Specs and features:
Build notes: plan on a carbine-length gas tube, low-profile gas block that clears .750, and a handguard long enough for your chosen mount points. Pair with a standard AR-15 M16-cut BCG and a mil-spec charging handle for a straightforward 16" carbine.
