Glock 43 Slide Upgrades: What Fits and What's Worth It

The Glock 43 is a single-stack 9mm built for concealed carry, and the aftermarket slide selection reflects that — fewer options than the G19, but purpose-built for the platform. Here is what fits, what to look for, and what is worth buying.

What Makes the G43 Slide Different

The G43 uses a shorter, narrower slide than any other 9mm Glock. It is not interchangeable with the G43X or G48 — those run on the Slimline frame with a longer slide profile. If a product says "fits Glock 43/43X" without specifying dimensions, verify before ordering.

Optic cuts for the G43 use the RMSc footprint — compatible with the Holosun EPS Carry, Sig Romeo Zero Elite, and Shield SMS2. The slide is too narrow for a standard full-size RMR cut. Make sure any slide listed as optic-ready specifies RMSc, not RMR.

Slide Options Currently in Stock

The LFA Cerakote Combat Pro Compensated RMSc Slide for Glock 43 at $174 covers the most ground in a single purchase: an integrated compensation port, an RMSc optic cut, and cerakote finish. It is the most complete option for a carry-oriented G43 build without sourcing multiple parts.

For a cleaner profile without the compensation port, the Black Nitride Elite Slide for Glock 43 at $160 is a direct drop-in. Nitride is harder than phosphate, resists corrosion better than bare steel, and holds up well to the sweat and humidity of daily carry.

Barrel Upgrades for the G43

An aftermarket barrel is the simplest accuracy upgrade on any Glock platform. The 9mm Stainless Steel Matte Replacement Barrel for the G43/43X at $109.99 fits both models and is a direct drop-in — no fitting required. The match-grade chamber tightens consistency with factory ammo, and stainless holds up in humid climates better than a standard barrel.

If you are planning to run a compensator, you need a threaded barrel first. The G43 typically uses 1/2x28 or M13.5x1LH thread pitch — confirm the compensator thread pitch before ordering. Suppressor and compensator regulations vary by state; verify local laws before purchasing.

G43 vs. G43X: These Slides Do Not Cross-Fit

The G43 and G43X look similar on the shelf but run different slide dimensions. The G43X uses Glock's Slimline frame with a longer grip and a longer slide profile. Slides are not interchangeable between the two. If you are upgrading a G43X, buy slides listed specifically for the G43X — not the G43.

What to Check Before You Buy

  • Confirm the slide is listed for the G43 specifically, not the G43X or G48
  • RMSc is the correct optic footprint for G43-size slides — do not order a full-size RMR-cut slide for a G43 build
  • Replacement slides are stripped — plan to transfer your barrel, recoil spring, and internals, or purchase a completion kit
  • Threaded barrel and suppressor combinations require a Form 4 in most states — check local regulations before purchasing

The G43 aftermarket is smaller than the G19, but what exists is focused. The LFA Combat Pro Compensated slide handles optics and compensation in one package. If you want a simpler build, the nitride slide and a stainless barrel gets you a durable carry setup without the extra cost.
